Post by Emily on Sat Mar 08, 2008 12:51 pm

Have you ever read The Giver?

For those who haven't, it is an excellent book and you should try reading it.

What are your comments on this book?

No---it's a book. It's called The Giver, it was written by Lois Lowry and it won the Newbery Medal. I think I still have it if you would like to read it. =]

I read it a few years ago and then our teacher read it last year so she could talk about personification.

It was soo sad, I felt like crying almost. I usually don't feel like crying like that so it was kind of weird for me.

But isn't it a happy ending?

He finds what he sees in the memories, and lives.

I LOVE that book. Gabe looks so cute(in my head. xD ). I also LOVE Number the Stars, Gathering Blue, the Anastsia Kuprink* books, Gooney Bird Greene, and like anything else by Lois Lowry. Im the only one in my school who reads her books. xD the librarian loves me. xD she gets me all her books.(well not all of them, but most of them)
